All About Adventures of Captain Tuttle
Who is Tuttle?
For those of you who remember the TV show "M*A*S*H", you may remember Captain Hawkeye Pierce played by Alan Alda through the 70's and early 80's. Tuttle was Hawkeye's imaginary friend when he was a kid and any time he was about to get in trouble for something, he would say Tuttle did it.
Hawkeye has always been a type of role model for Rob so when we were thinking of what to name his adventure of walking the Appalachian Trail, we thought Tuttle was a good name to help inspire him to do the things most people won't.

Here are a few quotes from the show:

Army Capt. 'Trapper John' McIntyre: How did you come up with a name like Tuttle anyway?
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: He was my imaginary childhood friend.
Army Capt. 'Trapper John' McIntyre: You had an imaginary friend?
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: Yeah, if anybody said, who knocked over the garbage? I'd say Tuttle. Who broke the window? Tuttle. Who wet the bed?
Army Capt. 'Trapper John' McIntyre: Tuttle!
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: He had no control.
Army Capt. 'Trapper John' McIntyre: So when you got drafted...
Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce: Tuttle got drafted.

Capt. Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce:
We can all be comforted by the thought that he's not really gone, there's a little Tuttle left in all of us, in fact you might say that all of us together made up Tuttle.
